In 2015, I joined the University of Western Sydney, Australia, to establish the Digital Research and Social Data Analytics specialisation of the Master of Social Science programme.
Previously, I was part of the Media Psychology team at the University of Salford, UK. The team apply psychology to enhance and understand media design, communication and consumption.In 2012, we launched the UK’s first MSc/PGDip/PGCert in Media Psychology at our MediaCityUK campus at Salford Quays.
Because we are living in a world full of media and digital technologies. Subsequently, Media Psychology is a growing and increasingly important area of knowledge and research. The more we understand about how people interact with media, the more we can realise its opportunities and potential. If you are working with or using media to communicate, entertain, persuade, engage, and interact with people, then media psychology has something for you.
